Aley Shalechet was established in 2004 by a group of private entrepreneurs who identified a personal and collective need for a modern and professional funeral home in the State of Israel, the same way it is accustomed in the western world, and by doing so changed the nature of post mortem services provided in Israel, forever. For the first time since the establishment of the country, the citizens in Israel are given the right to choose the way in which they wish to leave this world.

Aley Shalechet is the oldest and most professional entity in respect of a person’s last journey, starting with the bureaucratic aspect and up to the psychological and personal aspects. Aley Shalechet offers civil burial services, cremations, holding farewell ceremonies of a secular and religious nature, burial at sea, memorial services, book publishing, DNA preservation and more.

Aley Shalechet is the only funeral home in Israel which is recognized and certified by the largest funeral homes in the world. We regularly participate and lecture at professional conferences around the world, telling the special story of cremation in Israel. In addition, Aley Shalechet is the Israeli representative of the A.T.F.I-T.A.I.F Organization which is Europe’s leading organization in the field of funeral homes.
